June, his older sister. Had a fantastic relationship with her, she taught him many things all the way up until she passed. He learned how to cook and skateboard through her. These two were practically besties, and needless to say, Percy is traumatized over her passing. This would affect his outlook on life and lead to major abandonment issues, even beyond his own death.

Percy operates 80% of the time under a "is this going to keep me safe or benefit me in some way" philosophy. This is a pattern he picked up after June died; his sister's death scarred him so deeply that he's more careful and methodical when it comes to people especially. His carefree nature may hide how much he cares, but it also hides how hard he tries to keep himself distant from everyone. He cannot handle loss, which means he cannot handle commitment, and all of this is because it is just easier for him to live his life without feeling bound to expectations.
That being said, he cares. A lot. This stems from a place of loneliness, but he's always been the sort who doesn't like seeing other people get hurt in front of him. His flippant attitude belies someone who will quietly go the extra mile for the people he gets attached to. This care does not extend to just anyone, because getting him to give a shit about you can be a bit of an ordeal - but once you get there, he's very hard to get rid of.

DOLL SUMMONSPercy carries around a stuffed bear, a childhood toy of his, in a backpack. He summons the bear, which transforms into a bear-like being infused with fire energy that will fight on command. It lasts for 20 seconds before it swaps to another animal. The animals can be "defeated" and go on cooldown for a day after they're taken out of rotation, but since they're just manifestations of his fire powers, they can always respawn a day later. This is all assuming Percy himself is fine, though.
ACTUAL PHYSICAL ABILITIES
Percy is a great skateboarder and generally pretty athletic, but that's it. He's not a combat-savvy kind of guy. He relies a lot on his summons to carry him through fights and once those are over, he ends up running for his life to try and hide.
into the past
CHILDHOODPercy was an ordinary guy who lead a pretty normal life. Unfortunately, he dealt with loss at a young age after his sister, June, passed away from illness. He got incredibly attached to one of the only things he had left from her: A stuffed bear. He carried this bear around with him in secret, though he'd get made fun of when people saw it in his bag.
Percy had a high school sweetheart named Lia. They were very much in love, but Lia wanted a full commitment in college and Percy got scared. He has some Issues with getting attached since losing June, and while he did truly love Lia, he didn't want to make any promises. This lead to the downfall of their relationship, and their eventual breakup in university.
DEATH
Just a few days after their breakup, Percy got caught in an unfortunate incident. He was around during a violent bank robbery and ended up with a bullet through his head as collateral damage. Percy died before EMS arrived...and wound up in some weird version of purgatory. One that was being overseen by a god who fell from grace.
In this purgatory, Percy and a few others who had also perished were tasked with figuring out how to end a sudden time loop that their city became trapped in, and figuring it out would result in their resurrection. This is how Percy was granted his powers in canon: His teddy bear would ultimately become his weapon, and he could use it to summon "animals" that would fight in his stead.
